General notice

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Swiss Data Protection Act [Datenschutzgesetz, DSG]), every person has the right to the protection of their privacy and to protection against the misuse of their personal data. The operator of this website takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We handle all of your personal data confidentially and in accordance with legal requirements and with this data protection statement.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect databases from unauthorised access, data loss, misuse of data, and fraud.

We draw your attention to the fact that there can always be security vulnerabilities when you transmit data via the internet (for example through communication by e-mail). It is not possible to protect data from access by third parties with absolute certainty.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of data as described below. Anyone can access this website without needing to register. Data such as pages accessed and the names of files accessed, along with the date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes, but this data does not make any direct reference to you. Personal data, in particular your name, address, or e-mail address can be gathered from you on a voluntary basis. None of this data will be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Processing of personal data

Personal data means all data that refers to a particular person or an identifiable person. The data subject is the person whose personal data is being processed. The term ‘processing’ covers almost any kind of handling of personal data, regardless of the methods or procedures used. In particular, it includes the storage, disclosure, procurement, deletion, saving, alteration, deletion, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection legislation. In all other respects, we process personal data—insofar as and to the extent that the EU GDPR is applicable—in accordance with the following legal bases in connection with Art. 6, para. 1 of the GDPR:

  • Sub-paragraph a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.

  • Sub-paragraph b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

  • Sub-paragraph c) Processing of personal data necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject in accordance with applicable EU law or under any applicable law of a country in which the GDPR fully or partially applies.

  • Sub-paragraph d) The processing of personal data necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person.

  • Sub-paragraph f) Processing of personal data necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. Legitimate interests include in particular our economic interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the implementation of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the duration that is necessary for the purpose or purposes in question. Where we are obligated to store data for a longer period due to legal or other obligations to which we are subject, we limit processing accordingly.
